Ortiz-Magro and his girlfriend, Jen Harley, announced they were expecting in December. The Bronx native is among the original series stars returning in 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation,' the MTV revival premiering on April 5.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, one of the stars of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” now has a little meatball of his own, People reports.
Ortiz-Magro, 32, a Bronx native who lives in Las Vegas, welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday with girlfriend Jen Harley.
The couple announced they were expecting in December and had a baby shower on March 3.
Ortiz-Magro’s impending fatherhood — and whether or not he will stay faithful to Harley while shooting the show in Miami — is a subject in the MTV series revival “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” which premieres (8 p.m.) on Thursday.
“I am a soon-to-be dad, it seems,” he says in the show, ending the statement with an expletive. He also alters the show’s signature GTL (gym, tan, laundry) mantra to become GTB — gym, tan, baby.
Ortiz-Magro is known for his stormy on-again, off-again relationship with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola during the original run of “Jersey Shore.” Giancola, who met Ortiz-Magro on the show despite his rule that one should “never fall in love at the Jersey Shore,” is the only cast member who is not a part of the show’s revival.
“I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations,” said Giancola, 31, in an Instagram post.
Ortiz-Magro joins three other cast members — Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley” and Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio — who already have children.
In an interview with People at the show’s premiere, Ortiz-Magro said he was initially a bit dismayed that he was having a girl.
“I feel like I’ve done too many seasons of ‘Jersey Shore’ that I know what girls can be like, and it has not given me a great perspective,” Ortiz-Magro said.
“But no, I’m actually really excited,” he said. “I have a lot of younger sisters, and I feel like this girl is going to make me softer.”
Harley also has a son, Mason, 11.
